Relationship With God

God Pictures, Images and Photos

Being a Christian is not about keeping rules ang regulations, doing rituals or even going to church every week, but it is about entering a relationship with the one, living and true God. And becoming a Christian is by entering that relationship.

God made us himself and He created us to know and live for Him.

The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' - Acts 17:24-28

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. - Psalm 139: 13- 14, 16

We are separated from God.

One of the greatest things that hinders us from having a relationship with God is sin. Living life in our own way is considered sin.

Life that does not depend on God
Life that does not believe in God's power
Life that does not trust God
Life that God is not the center of it but self

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, - Romans 3:23

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. - Isaiah 53:6

But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.- Isaiah 59:2

We are loved by God.

God loves us so much that He has dealt with our separation. And to show this , He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross on our behalf, to die instead of us.

Love that has no bpunderies, Love that is hard to understand, Love that no one can do but God alone. God's love for us is unthinkable and greatest of all.

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. - 1 John 4:9-10

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. - 2 Corinthians 5:21

We have the ability to know God.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. - John 17:3

We encourage you to start your relationship with God by...

- Talking to Him through prayers
- Reading His word through bible
- Asking for forgiveness of your sins
- Inviting Him into your everyday life
- Letting Him take control of your whole being

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. - 1 John1:9

Admit and believe that Jesus is the only way to God and nothing else. That only Jesus can save us and that only faith through Him can bring us to God.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. - Acts 4:12

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, - 1 Peter 3:18

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Turn only to God and receive the power of the holy spirit to live the way God wants us to be.

In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. - Acts 17:30

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, - Acts 3:19

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, - Ephesians 1:13

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature....But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. - Galatians 5:16, 22-23

Jesus said "If people want to follow me, they must give up the things they want. They must be willing even to give up their lives to follow me. ...those who give up their lives for me will have true life." Matthew 16:24.25

To fully grow and develop your relationship with God, I strongly suggest to always be with other believers of Jesus whenever and wherever as possible as you can. Growing together in Christ is better than growing alone.

So if you seek a peaceful way of life, turn to Jesus. He is the answer to everything.
