God Is For Us

Luke 2:10 But the angel said to them ''Do not be afraid! I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people''.

Them message above was delivered by an angel of the Lord to the shepherds the night when Jesus was born.

The birth of Jesus, for me, was one of the greatest demonstrations of how much love God has for us. A love that was so much willing to take the very nature of human and die on the cross just to bring back the br0ken relati0nship with Him. And that Jesus who was for me the very image of love, the human form of love, for God is love.

God is for us!

That is why Jesus came to this w0rld almost 2000 years ago.

To know that God is for us will entirely change our perpective on life. We will stop thinking of God as someone looking down from behind the big clouds, ready to yell 'gotcha' anytime we make mistakes or everytime we mess up.

Instead we will realize God loves us; God is with us; and God is for us! God is for our success in life; he created us for a purpose and he wants us to succeed. It is God, our creator, who will measure our success in life, and no one else.

This is extremely good news!

It means we do not need to be afraid of God because God is for us. Yet some people are so afraid of God they get nervous just talking about him.

Do you kn0w why? They feel guilty, and then they start thinking ''if I get close to God, He is going to lecture me. He's going to remind me of h0w bad I am with all the things I have done wr0ng then I feel even worse''

Nothing could be further from the truth of God. Jesus said '' I didn't come into the world to condemn it, but to save it'' in effect, Jesus is saying '' I didn't come to scold you, I came to save you''.

And if God is with us and for us then who can be against us?

The arrival of this Jesus into the world is to save people not to scare us. That's why when the angel was telling the shepherds about the birth of Jesus, the first thing he said was ''Don't be afraid''.

Pastor Rick Warren said: ''When God sends a message to people in the bible, it's not unusual for the first words to be ''Don't be afraid''. There are 365 messages from God in the bible that begin with a phrase like ''Fear not'', in other words, every single day of the year you can read a message from God that says in effect ''you don't havd to be afraid, I am for you, I am with you and I love you''

Let us put in our mind that we celebrate Christmas because of this good news from God!

Why Jesus is the Immanuel?

Have you ever thought why Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:23 refer to a name Immanuel that will be given to Jesus yet Jesus was never called and named Immanuel when he was born?

Isaiah 7:14 ''therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign; the virgin will be with a child and will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel''

Matthew 1:22-23 ''all this took place to fullfill what the Lord had said through the prophet; The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son and they will call him Immanuel which means ''GOD IS WITH US''

Whey Jesus named Jesus and not Immanuel?
Let us take a look at these passages...

Matthew 1:21 ''she will give birth to a son and you are to give him name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins''

The passage above was told to Joseph through a dream by an angel of the Lord. Another passage from Luke 1:31 when the angel of the Lord appeared to Mary. ''you will be with a child and will give birth to a son and you are to give him name Jesus''

What Jesus and Immanuel mean?

Jesus is a greek name that means ''SAVIOUR''. And is a form of the hebrew name ''Joshua'' that means ''THE LORD SAVES'', while Immanuel means ''GOD IS WITH US''.

Jesus is the Immanuel! Why?

Have you ever been to a baby dedication where the child's full name is announced to everyone, and the baby has three or four different names?

Sometimes there may five or six names in the middle?

The baby Jesus was like that; God gave him several names to tell us about the character of Christ and the purpose of his life. One of Jesus' names is ''Immanuel'' it means ''GOD WITH US'' (Matthew 1:23)

He is with us always and forever and he will never leave us and he will never abandon us (Hebrews 13:5)

You may have been abandoned in life by your parents or your spouse or your children or your friends. Because of that abandonment, you approach this christmas in pain and full of heartache. But the bible says God will never abandon you.

Everyone else may abandon you but not God. You may not feel God's presence in your life right now but that is no indication that God is not there, he is with you - even now unto the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

Would you be surprised to hear that God hates loneliness?

He not only hates loneliness, he understands what it means to be lonely. The bible records that when God created man he said ''it isn't good for man to be alone'' (Genesis 2:18).

Loneliness is not an issue unique to you or to people who are single. There are many married people who are painfully, desperately lonely. You feel lonely because God created you to need people in your life - but regardless of how many friends you have - your loneliness will still remain until you are intimately connected to God.

The good news is this: because of the birth of Jesus, you now know that God is with you, and never have to face another day alone. God being near removes your fear. You don't have to worry, you don't have to sweat it, you don't have to be anxious about what's going to happen.

You may not feel like God is with you, in fact some days, you may not feel like he's on the planet! But his presence in your life has nothing to do with your feelings.

Through the birth of Jesus, God says '' I am going to give you hope'' If you are lonely this christmas, let Jesus fill the emptiness in your heart.

Beware Of The Christmas Symptoms!

As I am writing this blog we have 16 days, 3 hours, 22 minutes and 25 seconds remaining time before the celebration of our Saviour's birthday!

Christmas is just around the corner. And the season's spirit is being reminded us of by some of the following...

- Christmas songs being played on the radio in different frequencies.
- The seasonal blows of the wind.
- Churches conducting "Simbang Gabi" (Night Mass)
-13Th month pay/Christmas bonus
- School and office Christmas parties
-Christmas lights are displayed on every neighbor's house
-Christmas shopping
-tiangge
- What else? =)

But those are not the only things that we are observing today as Christmas' day is coming. There are some things that we should be more aware of especially on the very day of Christmas!!

Let me provide you some of those symptoms that will entirely invade your whole being unnoticed, come and take a look...

Be alert for symptoms of inner hope, peace and joy that can occur around this time of year.

Symptoms include:
A TENDENCY to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.
AN UNMISTAKABLE ability to enjoy the moment.
A LOSS of interest in judging others.
A LOSS of the ability to worry. (Very serious)
FREQUENT, overwhelming episodes of gratitude and peace.
CONTENTED feelings of connection with others.
AN INCREASING tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen.
AN INCREASED susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.
BELIEF in the Christmas angels’ message that we should be unafraid, whatever happens.

WARNING: There is no antidote.

Jesus will come...

Jesus will come to earth again to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.

Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgement. So Christ was crucified once to take away the sins of many people; and He will appear a second time not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him. -Hebrews 9:27-28.

''Behold I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Blessed are those who wash their robes that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs those who practice magic arts,the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood''.

'' I Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright morning star.''

The spirit and the bride say, ''come!'' and let him who hears say ''come!'' Whoever is thirsty let him come, and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book. If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plaques described in this book and if anyone takes away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

He who testifies to these things says, ''yes I am coming soon''.

Amen. Come. Lord Jesus, the grace of the Lord Jesus be God's people, Amen. -revelation 22:12-21

It is so very nice to know that Jesus himself tells us that someday He will come for His followers and will give the salvation to those who are waiting fro him.

I remember those words spoken by Jesus during His time here on earth as human whenever I listen to the song entitled "You'll Come" by hillsong. It gives me more strength to keep on living with Jesus here in my heart and follow him whenever possible and maintain the fire in my heart for our beloved saviour.

I admit to myself that it is not that easy to live life fully surrendered to Christ and what I can really assure you is that nothing more will give you happiness than being secured in the loving and victorious arms of Jesus. (thank you Jesus for the love).

Money can give you happiness.

Promotion can give you happiness.

Nice house can give you happiness.

Friends can give you happiness.

Family can give you happiness.

Those happiness are not permanent.

But Jesus can give us happiness that never fades. Happiness that someday He will come for us and bring us back home he prepared for us in heaven with the ever-loving Father!!!

Let me share you the lyrics of the song "You'll Come".

I have decided I have resolved
To wait upon you Lord
My rock and redeemer shall not be moved
I?ll wait upon you Lord

Prechorus
As surely as the sun will rise
You?ll come to us
As certain as the dawn appears

Chorus
You'll come let your glory fall
As you respond to us
Spirit reign flood our hearts
[ Hillsong Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
With holy fire again

Verse 2
We are not shaken we are not moved
We wait upon you Lord
Our Mighty deliverer my triumph and truth
I'll wait upon you Lord

Bridge
Chains be broken
Lives be healed
Eyes be opened
Christ is revealed

Armour Of God? What Is That?

God's armor brings victory because it is far more than a protective covering. It is the very life of Jesus Christ Himself. "[P]ut on the armor of light," wrote Paul in his letter to the Romans, "...clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 13:12-14) When you do, He becomes your hiding place, and shelter in the storm--just as He was to David. Hidden in Him, you can count on His victory, for He not only covers you as a shield, He also fills you with His life.

"I am the vine; you are the branches," said Jesus. "If a man abides in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)

Since living in the safety of the armor means oneness with Jesus, we can expect to share His struggles as well as His peace. Remember, God has promised us victory in the midst of trials, not immunity from pain. So "do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you, but rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ..." (1 Peter 4:12-13) Christian heroes who have been tortured for their faith continue to testify to the supernatural strength--even joy--that enables them to endure unthinkable pain.

They affirm with Paul -

"that in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.... For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers.... will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:37-39)

This wonderful truth has become reality to all who believe and follow Jesus. When you put on His armor, His life surrounds you, keeping you safe, close to Himself, and free to be His precious friend and trusted companion. So "put on Christ." (Galatians 3:27) He is your victory!

Anne Rice Comes To Jesus!

Anne Rice is a best-selling American author of gothic and religious-themed books. Her books have sold nearly 100 million copies, making her one of the most widely read authors in modern history.

She was reported by the CNN news on the 31st of October of this year that Anne Rice has returned to Jesus after spending nearly four decades of being an Atheist. Here are some of the comment she threw during a phone interview:

"To be able to take the tools, the apprenticeship, whatever I learned from being a vampire writer, or whatever I was -- to be able to take those tools now and put them in the service of God is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful opportunity," she said. "And I hope I can redeem myself in that way. I hope that the Lord will accept the books I am writing now."

"I do think that those dark books were always talking about religion in their own way. They were talking about the grief for a lost faith," she said.

She pressed the point: "I mean, I've made vampires believable to grown women. Now, if I can do that, I can make our Lord Jesus Christ believable to people who've never believed in him. I hope and pray."

Philippians 2:5-11

8Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had equal status with God but didn't think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. Not at all.

When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! Having become human, he stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process. He didn't claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death—and the worst kind of death at that—a crucifixion.

Because of that obedience, God lifted him high and honored him far beyond anyone or anything, ever, so that all created beings in heaven and on earth—even those long ago dead and buried—will bow in worship before this Jesus Christ, and call out in praise that he is the Master of all, to the glorious honor of God the Father.

Isaiah 60:1-5 & 18-22

The Glory of Zion

1 "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rise upon you and his glory appears over you.

3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

4 "Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm.

5 Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.

18 "No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.

19 The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

20 Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.

21 Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor.

22 The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly."

Psalm 66:2-12, 16-20

2 Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!

3 Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.

4 All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing praise to your name."

5 Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man's behalf!

6 He turned the sea into dry land, they passed through the waters on foot— come, let us rejoice in him.

7 He rules forever by his power, his eyes watch the nations— let not the rebellious rise up against him.

8 Praise our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard;

9 he has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping.

10 For you, O God, tested us; you refined us like silver.

11 You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs.

12 You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.

16 Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.

17 I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue.

18 If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;

19 but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer.

20 Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!

Hosea 6:1-4

1 "Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds.

2 After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence.

3 Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth."

Who Really Did Kill Jesus?

All of us are aware that Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead after three days. And that has been more than 2000 years ago now. One of the greatest movie ever made about the life of Christ or His crucifixion was "The Passion of the Christ" by Mel Gibson. It portrays of how Jesus was delivered to the authority and how He was killed/died on the cross.

But have we ever come across to a point of asking who really did kill our precious Saviour Jesus?

Was it the Jews who accused that Jesus was a blasphemous one that they brought Him to Pilate to have a death?

Was it Judas who handed Jesus over to the authority?

Was it the Roman Soldiers, who scourged Jesus to death and nailed to the cross?

Was it Satan who was in the first place the cause of Sin? for He deceived Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden?

Was it Pontius Pilate the Roman Governor who gave the Jews the authority of crucifying Jesus?

Or was it us who are sinners from the very beginning of humanity that really killed Jesus and sent Him to that cross?

Note: Isaiah wrote something incredible several hundred years before the birth of Jesus stating...

" Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before her shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth."

Isaiah 53:4-7

Isaiah clearly states that it was because of our sins, infirmities, sorrows, transgressions and inequities that caused Jesus' death. Sin requires death to atone for.

The Son of God was the only sufficient payment for the sins of the world. Therefore, it is justified to say that our sins killed Jesus Christ.

Live Out The Faith!

What Is Faith?

The book of Hebrews in the 11th chapter verse one says: "Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see." - Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)

Having faith is the only thing that separates us from the world. But sometimes faith is not enough to live a life of surrender, it has to be accompanied with actions. James said "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" - James 2:20 (KJV) and in James 2:26 He adds "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." (NIV)

We all know that faith is very important for Christ's believers as without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), but IF you have faith and not taking it into action, it is dead and is clearly stated in the bible.

You might want to ask yourself. "Do I have both faith and action?"

Pastor Rick Warren said that it is a crazy talk when someone says "I’ll just wait to see what God is going to do for me and go with the flow.”

Faith should be active.

Faith is a commitment.

When we were baptized, we made a statement to God and the people around us. Being a Christian does not end at baptizing, it is just the beginning!

It is the beginning of following Jesus' pattern and by living, that is how our faith is being proven.

There was a story that I read about geese. Every Sunday they gather around in the middle of their barnyard and there was like a leader among these geese standing in the midst of them telling and proclaiming their wonders of being a goose and their goosedom. And suddenly from up above they saw a flock of wild geese flying and soaring high in V formation. Every goose was amazed by this scenario and some said that "that is us, that is how we suppose to live that is what we were made for." All of them dreamed of flying as high as the wild geese were doing. But after the flock of flying geese has gone out of their sight, they just went back to their respective place in the four corners of the barnyard and seemed like nothing was happen or seen.

So sad to admit that some of us are like the barnyard geese that never attempted to be out of their barnyard then do or live what we should live for and what we were created for.

One of the best things that I could advise to live the faith that we have is by sharing it with other people around us. IF we are very excited about what God has done in our life, then why not share it? Sharing our faith does not need to be a hard preaching thing. It is as simple as telling a friend about the special person in our life, as simple as sharing with our bestfriends about the one who makes us fall in love and about the one who loves us the most, JESUS!

Some of the actions of faith are bringing people to God and loving them like what Jesus did!

And it will something you will relish for eternity!!

Make this four things be a part of your everyday life...

Love God.

Love People.

Love Life.

Love Self.

This Is Our God

freely You gave it all for us
surrendered your life upon that cross
great is the love poured out for all this is our God
lifted on high from death to life
forever our God is glorified
Servant and King
recued the world
this is our God

watch "this is our god" video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2D0g4Kizto

I have been meditating and focusing on these lines from the song THIS IS OUR GOD by Hillsong. And since I first heard it and my heart really feels the heart beat and message of the song. The message of sacrfice. The message of a servant who died on the cross on my behalf. And the message of love. The love of Christ for all of us. Do you believe that Jesus loves sinners? Me? I do believe, for I am a sinner and I personally feel his unfailing love. The underserving love that I am only receiving from Him alone Jesus.
Song says Jesus freely and willingly gave His life for us or for the salvation of sinners. I praise Jesus for that!!!

Whenever I listen to this song...
...the image is very clear on my mind seeing Jesus hanging on the cross and being nailed to it...
...bleeding all over his body...
... and looking at me saying in a struggling voice because of lashes and pain He is bearing...
..."This is how much love I have for you, I could bear all the pain just to see you alive and with me in heaven"...
The heart beat and message of this post is to tell you that Jesus is for you and for me!! He came to this world not to give judgement but to give salvation to those who will believe in Him and especially salvation for the sinners that have been imprisoned for so many decades because of the deception of evil. Jesus brought assurance of heaven citizenship to us when He was on earth fullfilling the prophecy of a coming messiah. Man took the initiative of committing sin and it was God who took the first initiative of forgiving that sin. Came down from the heaven just to restore the broken fellowship of man with Him and freely gave up His own life on the cross to show that our sins are forgiven and He is willing to accept us no matter how much sin we have been going through.
"Take heart son, your sins are forgiven" - Jesus

Gusto Mo Bang Magtanung Kay God?

Am I good enough to enter your kingdom? Is Jesus really preparing a room for me in heaven like what he said in John 14:2-3...

"In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."?

Or maybe, God do you know my name? or do you know me? Perhaps some would not ask a question but would ask God to come to heaven with Him.

It may sound funny or very papansin but I know that most of us have lots of questions that cannot be answered by no one even the most genius man ever lived. I believe that one of the quite amazing characteristics mankind has is asking questions. A desire in the heart that seeks truth. One of the best examples is scientists, they keep on searching for the answers to their never ending questions. Another example is those ones that have been converted to Christianity. All of them sought the truth or answer or prove to their beliefs until they ended up worshiping Jesus!

Now, what if you will be given a chance to ask GOD one question, what would it be?

Amazing Grace Story.

Google Custom Search
Today, I wanna share to you about an amazing story of a man whose view of God changed radically and as a result, his life changed radically as well. Perhaps you have heard this man's story so many times before, but let me tell you this story again as I was very blessed the moment I encountered this amazing grace story of John Newton.

John Newton was born in 1975 in England. His mother was a devoted christian, and intending for her son(John Newton) to enter the ministry. She worked hard to instill the a deep faith in him. But eventually, Newton's mother died before his seventh birthday. As a young Newton, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps, as Newton's father was an English sea captain. He joined the British Royal Navy but was eventually discharged because of unruly behaviour. To get away from the problem, he moved to the western coast of Africa and worked for a slave trader. He eventually became the captain of a slave ship, and like most slave ship captains, he treated his slaves ruthlessly. What a bad man he had become and what a terribly far cry from his mother's hopes and prayers for him!

On one voyage, a fierce storm severely struck Newton's ship. Sure that he would die. Newton surrendered his life to God. Miraculously he survived and he decided to set his life to a new course. A course Jesus intends all of us to follow or to set our life to. At first he remained as a slave ship captain. But he tried to treat the slaves more humanely. It did not take that long until he decided to gave up the slave trade entirely. What's more, he went on to a passionately crusade against slavery. Newton's life was changed so profoundly that he studied to become a minister, just as his mother had prayed. He came to be known as "the old converted sea captain". And this was all because he had personally met and come to know God.

Probably the most famous thing Newton did was to write the hymn "Amazing Grace". In it he described his own transgression:

Amazing grace how sweet the sound

that saved a wretch like me

I once was lost, but now am found,

was blind but now I see.

Sometimes we feel inside of us that we are OK. We don't care about our relationships to other. We do not care what's happening to us. We do not even notice that we are now breaking the very heart of God. And when we come to this point of giving God no pleasure and heartache, He disciplines us like what He did to John Newton on his voyage, like what fathers do to their sons telling "Hey son, that not right anymore." Until we see ourselves helpless, hopeless, restless and left nothing to do but surrender our whole being to God. The Good thing about it is that we can only find complete happiness, quietness, and complete satisfying love in God alone by having deep and intimate relationship with Him.

"Surrendering to God is not BEST way to live, it is the ONLY way to live. If you don't surrender to God, you surrender to chaos" - Pastor Rick Warren.

Did God Really Allow Sin To Happen?

Isa ito sa mga tanung na paulit-ulit na tumatakbo sa utak ko nitong nagdaang mga araw. Because there was a book that I used to read and one of the topics talks about sin. How it entered the world, how man became contaminated by this deadly sin. At ang pinakatalagang tumanim sa isip ko is yung topic na nagsasabing it was God's plan allowing sin to come. Yes God really allowed sin to happen so that His greatness and Godness would be revealed, so that there would be a great plan of salvation, so that man would acknowledge Him not just as a creator but also as a God and loving Saviour. Because if it was not God's plan for sin to come, ibig sabihin e hindi N'ya kontrolado ang mga bagay-bagay. God holds everything, no one and nothing left unhandled.

We may have our own different point of view about it and how to accept it. We do not have any idea what's on God's mind right now but certainly He knows what's on us!

Who Do You Say Jesus Is?

Some say you're just a good man
Some say you are kind
Some say you are in the grave
But I say you're alive
Some say you're just a prophet
Some say you were wise
Some say you were just a man
But I say you are God
You are my God

The lines above are from the song "Shout Your Fame" by Hillsong. It states here how some people were saying about who Jesus was, like just a good man, just a kind person, in the grave, just a prophet and just a wise man. But for us believers, we believe and declare that Jesus is God, above everything and all powerful.

We can notice in the bible that before Jesus was born, His coming had been foreseen and prophesied so many years before his birth. And some well-known characters in the bible had a different views and vision of who Jesus would be.

Like for examples Jacob saw Jesus as the Shiloh, Moses as the passover lamb and the lifter up one, Ruth as the family redeemer, Samuel as king, David as lion of Judah and good shepherd, Solomon as the beloved, Ezra and Nehemiah as the restorer, Job as the redeemer, Isaiah as the suffering servant, Jeremiah saw him at the potter's wheel, Ezekiel as son of man, Daniel as the prince and the smiting stone, Hosea as the bridegroom redeeming a fallen wife, Joel as restorer, Amos as heavenly husband, Obadiah as the saviour, Jonah as the resurrection and life, Mica as the witness, Nahum as stronghold in the days of trouble, Habakkuk as God of my salvation, Zephaniah as jealous Lord, Haggai as desire of all nations, Zechariah as the righteous branch, Malachi as the sun of righteousness and John as the lamb of God. See everyone in the bible times has a different view of Who Jesus is.

What about you? Who is Jesus for you?

God.. Father... Saviour... Immanuel... Lord... Christ... Redeemer... Bridegroom... Messiah... Prince Of Peace.. Advocate... King... Holy Spirit... Son Of Man... Prophet... Teacher.. Wise Man or just nothing, I do not even bother to know?
In the book of Matthew chapter 16 verses 13 to 15, Jesus was talking to His disciples when He asked Them, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" The disciples replied very enthusiastically "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets." They replied according to what the people were saying about their rabbi but after that Jesus followed up another question like this "But what about you?" "Who do you say I am?"
"But what about you?" "Who do you say I am?"

Only Peter replied without any doubt, ""You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." on verse 16.

Many of us would reply or tell another people or friends what OTHER PEOPLE are saying about Christ not what WE SAY about Jesus. What if while reading this post and then suddenly you see image of Jesus reflecting on your computer's screen standing behind you and asks you...

"But what about you?" "Who do you say I am?"

Hillsong Conference In Manila?

The very last Hillsong conference held in Australia was a very fantastic event that was posted on Hillsong's website for the very first time and I was able to watch the entire program of this event but on their site only www.hillsong.com. I really have been dreaming this kind of event to have here in Manila. If that will happen here many youth will be changed, questions will be answered, brokenlives will be fixed and more youth will be more committed to God. The purpose of this blog is not to just gain readers like you because my title is really teasing or very interesting at first glance, but also to tell you guys that we can do the same thing they are doing there down under, and it is just a matter of faith and perseverance. I believe that you've also been dreaming to have this conference in Manila like what the Hillsong has in Australia, because you clicked on the link to read more about or to gain more information about it. I was just wondering since most of us want to have this conference like Hillsong has, why don't we create or manage our own, I mean doing our version of conference like this, what do you think?. I think it would be great if most of us will just make an effort to make this happen, imagine we will be having our very own conference that is being held in Cuneta or Araneta Coliseum or somewhere else, then experiencing how are lives of ones are being changed cause of this. Of course in doing this we need to consider some things like budgets, workers, places to be held at, dates of events and themes.

"who knows maybe one day we'll know that Hillsong team would want to join in our conference. Well that's just an idea of mine that I just wanna share with you and you may share your idea or view about this"

I know it would be hard and will take lots of efforts to make this happen, but if we have faith in God that He will be there for us, I really do not see any impossibilities. So encourage everyone especially those believers that really have passion on bringing people to God and have the creativity to make this amazing thing to happen. Lets start with giving out comments or suggestions on how this could be happened and handled, who wants to be a part of this history making event, until we are ready to have this in action. For now I want your interest and willingness to join and sacrificing some of your time. We would love to have your responses and suggestions, kindly put your responses to the comment field and we will respond to you at our convenient time.

David's Psalm of Thanks

make known among the nations what he has done.

Sing to him, sing praise to him;
tell of all his wonderful acts.

Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.

Look to the LORD and his strength;
seek his face always.

Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,

O descendants of Israel his servant,
O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.

He is the LORD our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.

He remembers [b] his covenant forever,
the word he commanded, for a thousand generations,

the covenant he made with Abraham,
the oath he swore to Isaac.

He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant:

"To you I will give the land of Canaan
as the portion you will inherit."

When they were but few in number,
few indeed, and strangers in it,

they [c] wandered from nation to nation,
from one kingdom to another.

He allowed no man to oppress them;
for their sake he rebuked kings:

"Do not touch my anointed ones;
do my prophets no harm."

Sing to the LORD, all the earth;
proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
he is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the nations are idols,
but the LORD made the heavens.

Splendor and majesty are before him;
strength and joy in his dwelling place.

Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations,
ascribe to the LORD glory and strength,

ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name.
Bring an offering and come before him;
worship the LORD in the splendor of his [d] holiness.

Tremble before him, all the earth!
The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns!"

Let the sea resound, and all that is in it;
let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!

Then the trees of the forest will sing,
they will sing for joy before the LORD,
for he comes to judge the earth.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

Cry out, "Save us, O God our Savior;
gather us and deliver us from the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name,
that we may glory in your praise."

-1 Chronicles 16:8-35
